Tax notice
Full-time high school or college students can avoid having Federal income tax withheld from their summer job paycheck according to the Internal Revenue Sc rvice.
If a student expects to earn no more than $2,350 this year and had no Federal tax liability Tasty ear then he should file a W4E, Exemption of Withholding form, with his employer. This means the student will not have Federal income taxes withheld from his pay nor will he have to file a 1976 Federal income tax return.
Students who have more than one job during the year should file this form with each employer. Employers who need additional copies of the W4E form should contact their nearest Internal Revenue Service office.□
