PRIVATE PESTICIDE APPLICATOR CERTIFICATION—The law that requires farmers to become certified before they can purchase and apply restricted use pesticides is due to go into effect next October 1977. If you plan on becoming certified, suggest you do it now as there is quite a time lag between the time you take the test and the time you receive your certification. In order to help you pass the test and to make it convenient for you to take it, we have set up the following schedule: December 8, Episcopal Parish Hall, Washington, Va.—One day training session to be followed by the test. December 14, Episcopal Parish Hall, lP.M.and7 P.M.—'Test only. If you plan on taking any of these tests, please call the Extension Office so that we may send you a Private Pesticide Applicator’s Training Manual and sign you up for the date and time of your choice.
