According to Trooper C. A. Moore, Kevin Register of Washington was operating a 1961 Volkswagen when apparently amechani'cal failure caused the vehicle to swerve off the road and over turn. The crash occurred about 9:45 p.m.
Kevin sustained a fractured pelvis and was taken to Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal where he remains a patient.
Three passengers were in the car. Pam Niskanen of Washington received an injury of her right leg; Philip Register sustained a spine injury and George Jenkins of Sperryville had head and chest injuries. □
