In late November and early December, several Rappahannock County farmers will be contacted as part of a nationwide survey to determine winter wheat plantings, and livestock and poultry numbers.
The project will be conducted by the Virginia Crop and Livestock Reporting Service, according to Lois Workman of Elkton, who will be interviewing Rappahannock farmers. She said that all information collected in the survey will be kept confidential and only State and national summaries will be released to the public.
