Nethers
George Robert Nethers, 76, of Flint Hill died November 23, 1976 in Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal. He was a native of Nethers in Madison County, son of the late William Clifton Nethers and Inez Brown Nethers.
He was a retired employe of American Viscose in Front Royal, and was a member of Flint Hill United Methodist Church and Flint Hill Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Fannie Mae Lillard Nethers; a son, George Maynard Nethers of Stephens City; four daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Lewis of Huntly, Mrs. Hilda Dennis of Jackson, S.C., Mrs. Helen Coffey and Mrs. Pauline Aylor, both ofSperryville; seven grandchildren and one greatgranddaughter.
Also surviving are three brothers, Nelson Nethers ofSperryville; Clifton Nethers of Amissville and Ray Nethers of Stephens City; a sister, Mrs. Lucy Goodall of Etlan.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Flint Hill United Methodist Church conducted by the Rev. Malcolm Maples and the Rev. A.D. Good son. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers include Dr. Edwin Eastham, Walter Jenkins, Dabney Eastham, Frank Huff, Patterson Biggs, Charlie Lillard, Jack Curtis and Major Cowgill.
The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of a contribution to the Flint Hill United Methodist Church.
