Wakefield play
On Friday, April 1, Wakefield School will present the 17th century play “The Bourgeois Gentleman,” by the French writer JeanBaptiste Moliere. This five-act musical comedy with a cast of 43 students, is filled with action in the form of songs, ballets, horseplay and sword fights.
The public is invited 'with admission free to children and students and a charge of 50 cents for adults, to help defray production costs.□
Payne at seminar
Kenneth L. Payne, vice president of R. Lee Payne & Son, Inc., Culpeper, recently attended a national swimming pool seminar in Albany, N.Y. The two-day event was sponsored by the Trojan Pools Division of AMI International Ltd.
The meeting consisted of indepth training in sales, installation and service. The Paynes, former Rappahannock residents, operate R. Lee Payne & Son, Inc. in the Southgate Shopping Center, Culpeper. □
