Sixty-two per cent of last year’s seniors expect to receive only a high school education.Only 9.1 per cent think they will finish college and 9.1 per cent also think they’ll receive a master’s degree. No one taking the survey expected to earn a PHD, MD, law or professional degree although 4.5 per cent indicated they would like to get one.
The same 62.5 per cent of the seniors who expect to only finish high school indicated that they had no plans to continue their education. — Daphne McCullough
