At last Thursday’s meeting, the Rappahannock school board took no action on the renewal of Dr. William Bloomer’s four year contract as superintendent of schools which expires June 30. 1981. Instead the board voted unanimously to advertise an opening for superintendent here as of July 1.

Asked to comment this week, Dr. Bloomer said he had been invited by the school board to submit an application for the job. “But I am not seeking reappointment,” he said, explaining that he would not *PPly
