Eastham next asked how the proposal on direct payment of gas tank bills was transmitted from the supervisors.
Bloomer replied that chairman E. P. Luke made the suggestion, speaking for the entire board with all members present at their November meeting.
“Ah, Col. Luke again, again,” Eastham replied, writing notes rapidly on a stack of papers.
After Mrs. Massie repeated that she would contact the supervisors for clarification on payment of the bills for the underground tank. Miller noted that location of the tank will affect the cost of putting it in. The further away from the shop building, a site which will eventually be taken by the highway department for Route 211, the higher the price for electrical hook-up, according to Miller. His motion to have the tanks installed on part of the bos shop lot which won’t be condemned passed unanimously.
