John Wayland
John David Wayland, 64, of Stanley died Dec. 5 at Page Memorial Hospital in Luray.
A funeral was conducted Dec. 7 by Elder Ernest Long at the Bradley Funeral Home in Luray. Burial was in Beahm’s Chapel with military honors.
Mr. Wayland was born Feb. 18, 1926, in Washington, D.C., the son of Kathryn Aber Wayland of Sperryville and the late John Hamilton Wayland. He was retired as an agent for Southland Life Insurance Company after 25 years. He was a member of Alma Primitive Baptist Church and a U.S. Marine veteran of World War II.
Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Deloris Bradley Wayland; two daughters, Darlene Dickerson of Shenandoah and Deborah Snellings of Stanley; a brother, William T. Wayland of Sperryville; two sisters, Jacquelyn A. Fox of Sperryville and Marguerite Tupper of Washington and five grandchildren.

Marion E. Kuhn, of Warrenton, formerly of Washington, Va., died Dec. 4.
She is survived by two daughters, Karen K. Vaughn of Chesterfield, Va. and Cristine K. Kuhn of
