'Presumed Innocent at theatre
The movie “Presumed Innocent” will be the feature attraction at the Gay St. Theatre this Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 5 and 6. In this faithful-to-the-letter adaptation of lawyer Scott Turow’s 1987 bestseller, Harrison Ford plays Rusty Sabich, an assistant D.A. who leaves his ostensibly happy home one morning for the office and finds his boss with bad news. . .a beautiful young lawyer with whom Sabich has been secretly involved has been murdered, and Sabich is assigned to the case. Harrison Ford and director, Alan J. Paukla do a great job of keepinjfyou wondering ‘ifhedunit” til the end. The movie is rated R and showtime is 7:30 p.m. each evening.
Flexercise classes begin
An eight-week series of Flexercise classes will begin on Monday, Jan. 7. The classes will meet each Monday and Thursday from 5:456:45 p.m. at the elementary school. Cost for the series is $40, and new students are welcome. For more information, call Rose Ann Sharp (675-3887, evenings).
AA meetings at Trinity
An Alcoholics Anonymous meeting is held every Thursday at 8:30 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington.
EMT and refresher class
There will be an EMT class and refresher held at the Flint Hill fire hall starting Monday, January 7. Classes will be held Monday and Thursday nights from 7 to 10 p.m. Tentative test date is May 30.
