Publication of “Resources for Older People: A Care Handbook” for residents of Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange and Rappahannock counties has been announced by the Northwestern Virginia Health Systems Agency Inc.
This 200-page handbook provides comprehensive information on all the types of services, the ways of paying for them, and legal, tax, an<J other information likely to be required by older people who need or may need care or assistance over an extended period. It includes detailed descriptions of services available in the area, with name, address, telephone, charges, hours, eligibility requirements (if any), and more for each public or private agency or organization providing the service, from grocery stores and pharmacies that make deliveries and chore services to skilled nursing care providers and nursing homes, all in an easy to use arrangement.
The handbook also recommends questions to ask and tells how to re' solve complaints.
