“An Environmental Assessment covering the proposed construction of a concessioner-operated campstore, laundry, and shower facility at the Mathews Arms Campground, in Shenandoah National Park, is available for publio^review,” announced Superintendent J.W. Wade.
As part of ARA Virginia SkyLine Company, Incoporated’s approved $3.8 million facility improvement program, they propose to begin construction .of the facility in 1991 or 1992. Public comments are welcome until Jan. 28 when the public comment period ends.
The proposed facility would be accessible to users of the Mathews Arm Campground. The lack of these services has been the source of many visitor complaints, the superintendent explained.
