Lost dogs
The following animals have been reported missing by their owners to the Rappahannock Animal Welfare League’s lost pet registry (703-937-3283).
• Doberman/lab mix: adult male, solid black color, red leather collar, last seen in Chester Gap area.
• Shelty mix: five-month-old male, brown leather collar, last seen near Jeffersonton, Route 802.
• Shelty/cocker spaniel mix: one-year-old male, blue nylon • collar, last seen in Flint Hill.
• Pekinese: two-year-old male, brown leather collar, last seen on Route 729 at Ben Venue.
Anyone with information about these dogs, or who would like to report a dog missing, should call Mrs. Clark at theshelter. The county animal shelter is located at the county landfill, on Route 639 off U.S. 211 east of Amissville. The shelter is open Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m%, and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
