He was a U S. Army veteran of World W'ar II and the Korean Conflict.
Surviving with his mother are two daughters, Mildred Jenkins and Judy Stokes, both of Front Royal; a son, Charles Woodard of Front Royal; four half-brothers, William Sisk, Charles A. Sisk and James R. Sisk, all of Sperryville and Jackie Sisk of Boston; two half-sisters, Dorothy Pullen of Washington and Esther Jenkins of Culpeper; a step-sister, Mary Edna Woodward of Front Royal; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by a son, Roger Lee Woodard.
Pallbearers were Clarence Williams, Robert Settle, Jay Sisk, Chucky Sisk, Dwayne Pullen and Larry Sisk.
