Four members of the RC'HS track team will be competing in the regional track meet this Friday.

Holly Gangel and Mark Jenkins will both be running the 1600m and 3200m races. Willie Shanks will run the 100m and 200m runs, and Ozzie Villar will compete in the 800m.

They all participated in the district meet held at Clarke County last Thursday and qualified to participate in the regional meet.

The meet will be held at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville all day this Friday.

The RCHS soccer team tied one and lost one last week, which puts their overall record for the season at 6-3-2. For the district, their record is 1-2-1.

They tied Central last Tuesday in a scoreless game. Coach Uli Maeyer said it was a good game and that RCHS had several chances to score but did not.

The game against Brentsville last Thursday was a different story. Coach Maeyer said, “We played as bad in the first half as we could.” After the game, the Brentsville coach told Coach Maeyer, “Uli, that was the best half we ever played,” referring to the first half. Coach Maeyer
