The bigger, the better might be the motto st the annual Old Dominion Show that runs this Saturday, Sept 6. The show, at Commonwealth Park in Culpeper; is sanctioned by the Virginia Draft Horse and Mule Association.
Competition is carded for drafts, halfdrafts, draft pomes, mules and donkeys in riding and driving classes. Farm classes include log skidding, bale moving, obstacles, antique equipment, work hitches and cart classes.
The honored guests will be the U.S. Army s Old Guard caisson platoon.
The show is one leg of the North American Six-Horse Hitch Classic Series and is an eligibility show for the Atlantic Coast Championship Draft Horse Breeders Challenge.
