Rappahannock County Administrator John W. McCarthy announced Tuesday that the county has selected two contractors to build and market an official countywide tourism Web site.
Laura N. Overstreet has been selected to develop content for the Web site and direct the launch and marketing of the site, working with D & K Design. Inc., which has been selected to develop the Web site architecture and graphic design. The contractors also will work together to develop a tourism logo, tag line and advertisement.
The contractors were selected through a competitive bidding process and evaluated against criteria thut included quality and completeness of their proposals, technical and creative qualifications, past performance on similar projects and availability of resources to meet contract schedules and requirements.
