After several weeks, and much research in libraries sifting through piles of church records, they were able to trace their family ancestry back to the County Tipperary. The adventure culminated in the finding and meeting of several direct descendants of the Mullany clan who graciously invited them into their homes. For Joan and her mother, St. Paddy’s Day always brings back memories of Irish warmth and hospitality and the discoveries made on that wonderful trip.
