Teachers, administrators and staff’members at the high school all wore red and white carnations Friday but not because they were part of any wedding party. The flowers were gifts from the student government on "Teacher Appreciation Day." Sporting his flower on his lapel, principal Bob Chappell w as pleased that he merited appreciation along with the teachers. The Rappahannock Woman's Club will present its annual fashion show on Sunday, Apnl 1 at 2 p. m„ at the Rappahannock Elementary School. This year’s show will feature fashions with "A Touch Of Class” from Frank’s and Warren Quality Shop of Front Royal and Jack and Jill of Culpeper. Models for this year’s show include: Lois Manookian, Margaret Lee, Dawn Welch, Peter Luke, Butch Zindell, and Kelly Brown. A crowd of almost 5,000 was treated to some exciting and close racing Saturday at the Rappahannock Hunt Pointto-Point meet at Sperryville. In the Ben Venue owner rider timber race, second in the Arundel New spapers sponsored Seven Comers Championship series, JefT LeHew’s Lucky and Bold won by a head over Don Yovanovich’s Never Time.
