Because of her dogs' attitudes toward cats, they couldn't keep her. The cat, so terribly afraid of people, was aggressively anti-social. Our members took her to a vet who discovered that the break in her leg was old and had healed badly. She walks on three legs, the fourth tucked under.
The veterinarian found her negative for disease, discovered that at one time she had been spayed; the vet inoculated her and little Eva, hobbling on three good legs, is now enjoying a warm foster home where she sits on the couch, purring and nuzzling her foster Mom, waiting to be adopted. We also have Tiny, Snowshoe, Shadow, Jingles and others - all with their own story - all who need lifetime homes.
In addition to RappCats, there are the individuals who find strays — or have them dropped at their door — and, on their own, take them to the vet and find homes for them. Some of these humanitarians barely make a living for themselves, but do what they can for stray companion animals who might otherwise suffer horribly without their compassion.
