vet. They are willing to foster her until we can find a permanent home and RappCats — because of the generosity of Rappahannock residents— helps them with cat food, kitty litter and pays the vet bills.
This is just a small window into the cat issue in our county. We have a nine-member Board of Directors — all of whom have jobs or are sell employed. They give their valuable time and effort — and infinite compassion — so that RappCats exists, thrives and grows and so that little Eva will have a home.
Our Board of Directors members are Lisa Reid, Kim Novak, Mary Ann Kuhn, Ruth Zeh. Pat Snyder. Gail Swift, Mary Katherine Ishee, Esther Schmidt and me.
We get generous emails from members of our community: a gallery owner in Little Washington who just offered her venue for a fundraiser; a new resident — who photographs pets — who offered an event where we would share in her profits.
Our Board member, Mary Ann Kuhn, for the second year, is graciously giving us use of her lovely Middleton Inn for our next Catstravaganza (date and specifics to lx* announced (.Last year's event at Middleton Inn injected enough funds into our organization to keep us going for a year. It was a fabulous party and we expect an even 1 letter event this year.
The folks at Stonewall Abbey held a poetry reading for us and continue to display our quilt for raffle. Many people — too many to mention —have lx*en financially supportive and otherwise incredibly helpful. There are not enough good things to say about our foster families.
