Wolverines Nip Buckingham 73-59 Visiting Girls Take 44-33 Win Farmville High's Wolverines defeated Buckingham - Central here Tuesday night 73-59 for their third victory, but were ex tended all the way by Coach Dol- ' liver's Bucks. The two fives battled fairly evenly through the first quarter which went to the Wolverines 21 to 14, but FHS's fast break click ed for 27 points in the second quarter while the visitors could collect only 9. The half-time score was. 48-23. In both second half periods, the visitors outscored the Wolverines, but FHS kept adding enough to maintain a safe lead. Clyde Shel ton. FHS forward topped the night's scoring With 20 points. Eddie Thornton added 14 for the Wolverines. Both scored chiefly on fast breaks. Rowlett Bruce. 6 3' center, and Co-Captain Melvin Jainerson col lected 15 each for the Bucks. Co Captain Kyle Knott added 14. all but two scored »in the final half. In the girls' game. Bucking ham Central downed the Wol verettes 44 to 33. Phyllis Pearolve scored 24 points for FHS and Williams added 6.
