Has Operation June Allison spent a part of her Christmas vacation from school recovering from an opera tion. having had tonsils and ade noids removed at the Richmond Eye, Nose, and Throat Hospital. Dec. 29 Mrs. John Shires, of Camden. N. J., was a guest for several days during the Christmas Holidays of Mr. and Mrs. Ben P. Johnson at “Elmington." Pvt. Robert Shires and his wife. Shirley, were guests of the Johnsons for several days, having now returned to Ft. Bon ning, Ga., Lt. Ben F. Johnson and his wife. Geneva, are now at Camp Polk, ha. They were home for about three weeks visiting at "Elmington" and in Richmond ! Miss Harriet Ann Cosby has re turned to Mary Washington Col lege. after having spent several days at home. Recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. i Robert Shaver were Mr. and Mrs.: Varner Shaaf and son and Spen cer Howard, all of Yadkinville, N. C Major George W. Spring. Jr was able to spend about ten days at his home, near Michaux. and has now been transferred to Novi Cumberland. Pa Attends Funeral Dr. J. G.
