Glendale Rev. James Hodges of Dillwyn. preached an excellent sermon at Arvonia Methodist Church Sun day morning, at which time "t ue 'ord's Supper" was observed. Among those attending were Mrs. Naomi Poe and Mrs. Annie John son. The! holiday season brought many guests and relatives to their homes here. Among those visiting "Oakdale.” home of Miss Eliza White, were her nephew. H. Pal more White, of Richmond, and a niece. Mis* Mattie Kate White, of Falls Church. Mrs. Henry Wood and Son. and Mrs. Annie Johnson. Mrs. T .P. Lang has returned from University Hospital, where she recently underwent an ope ration. She is convalescing nicely. Visitors recently of Mrs. Grace N. Barton were her brother and I sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Nuckols, also her sister, Mrs. Annie Holmes, all of Richmond. Mr and Mrs. Francis West, of !
