Tea Honors Bride-To-Be
“Grand View,” beautiful home of Mrs. George Taylor at Sperry\ille, wa3 the scene of a tea Friday evening! given by the Home Demonstration Clubs of Rappahannock to honor Miss Janet Sollenberger, who has served so faithfully and efficiently as theft lead-" er for the past three years.
Miss Sollenberger of Woodstock has announced her coming marriage to Dr. Walter Leroy Kilby of University of Maryland Hospital staff, Baltimore.
Assisting the hostess in receiving were the honor guest and Mrs. Randolph Hite.
A pair of Gorham silver dishes was presented to Miss Sollenberger as a wedding gift from the united Home Demonstration clubs of the county.
The exquisitely appointed tea table, placed in the picture window of the dining room had a centerpiece of sprays of.white spirea with the miniature bride and groom.
The ladies pouring were Mrs. Curtis Campbell, Mrs. David Miller and Mrs. W. H. Lyne.
As the guests gazed from the picture .window -over the Thornton River Valley at the foot of the hill they pronounced the home of the Taylors rightly named “Grand View.”
An interesting feature was a tour of the rock garden in the woods, conducted by Mrs. McClaskey and Master John Lee Taylor.

Engagement Announced
Dr. and Mrs. William Gibson Pendleton have announced the engagement of their daughter Eleanor Hotchkiss, of Charlottesville, to Lieutenant Thomas Vincent Monahan, son of Mrs. Fowler W. Barker, of Washington, D C:, and the late Mr. Vincent T. Monahan.
Miss Pendleton is a graduate of St. Margaret’s School and the College of William and Mary, where she was a member of Chi Omega and- Mortar Board, >- <-->'
Lieutenant Moxct^ is ^graduate of the United States Military Academy and is now attending the University of Virginia Law School where he will receive the LL. B. degree in June.
The wedding will take place in June.
