A more thorough and complete understanding of basic permanent conservation will- be the thema of the meeting sponsored by the Culpeper Soil Copser\ation District Board of Supervisors to be held in the auditorium of the Cul peper Municipal Building Monday, May 14 at 10:00 a.m. Ministers, bankers; educators; agricultural professional workers, town and county officials, and many influential farmers and business men are expected to attend.
An interesting and instructive program has 'been planned to better inform the public of the functions fend afE'vities of their soil conservation districts. T. G. Ragsdale, Culpeper county representative on the district board of supervisors 'will act as chairman of the meeting.
E. W. Mundie, Extension Conservationist, will discuss the functions of soil conservation districts and how each agency and organization fits into the picture relative to the contribution that they may make to basic conservation and to a permanent agriculture. Rev. Albert E. Gingrich will talk on man’s stewardship of the land and his responsibility to it. Mary G. Ross, principal, Cul peper El e - mentary School, will discuss conservation education in the schools. Giles H. Miller, president, Culpeper National Bank, will bring out the bankers roll in conservation and what the banks are in a position to contribute.
