Pfc. Henry Allen Brown has notified his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Brown, that after three months hospitalisation in Japan, recovering from an automobile accident, he has been returned to Korea for light duty.

Mrs. Maude Gore entertained the bridge club Saturday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. B. M. Miller on Mt. Salem Avenue. Those playing were Mr. and Mrs. E. M.'Jones, Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Wood, Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Keyser, Jr., Mr. and Mrs. Charles Estes, Mrs. R. V. Snead and Mrs. John Snead. Prizes were won by: 1st for ladies, Mrs. Wood; 1st for men, E. M. Jones. Bingo prizes were won by Mrs. R. V. Snead and Mrs. John Snead.
-- MILLERS ENTERTAIN SUNDAY NIGHT
Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Miller entertained at supper Sunday night at their home “Maple Springs” for their son Dave Miller, who was the week-end guest of his parents, having as their guests Dike Dickens, Joe Hutt, and Kelso Baker, who was also a guest for the week end at “Maple Springs”, all of VPI. Other guests were 'Mr. and Mrs. Flash Gordon of Warrenton, Miss Betty Sue Hutt of Madison College; ^Mr. and Mrs. Wade H. Massie, III, and Donny Keyser. Friday evening the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Miller for dinner were Dike Dickens, Kelso Baker, Miss Betty Sue Hutt and Joe Hutt.^ Mrs. Miller’s guests were enroute' to Warrenton for the week end. Saturday afternoon Kelso Baker, Nawbill Miller and Dave Miller attended the races in Warrenton.
