Dedication Services Held

Sunday At Sperryville

A large crowd attended She dedication service held in tha^Metk-— odist church at Sperryville Sunday morning at eleven o’clock, when the Rev. Aubrey Hughes, District Superintendent of the Charlottesville District, was the guest speaked. Special music by the choir, directed by Mrs. Harry Trescott with a duet by Miss Jo Ellen Worth and Joan Kelly Aylor and another special feature of the musical program was a selection sung by Miss Barbara Brown and Miss Betty Welch. Following the regular service the Memorial window, given by James A. Estes, in memory of his wife Mrs. Ella V. Estes, was dedicated in a most impressive manner by the Rev. Hughes. The window is very colorful in rich shades of red, blue and green and portrayed a striking picture of Jesus praying in the garden pf Gethsamene. While Mr. Estes is eighty-eight years old, his interest in his church, in which he has served for so many years, is keenly manifest.
