A food sole will be held at the Culpeper Bowling Alley, Saturday, March 22 beginning at 9 a.m.

Food prepared for the sale by all home demonstration members of Rappahannock County will include: pies (fruit, mincemeat) etc, calces, both layer and chiffon; freshly dressed chickens/ homade rolls, pickle, coffee, cream, fresh eggs, potato* salad, cup cakes and cookies.

The roast turkey dinner served by members of the 4-H Council and leaders proved to be very successful. 116 persons being served. Proceeds from this dinner will be used to send delegates to ■State Short Course at Blacksburg in June, county delegates to camp at Powell's Port Valley and also to make contribution to . National 4-H Foundation in Washington, D. C.

We wish to thank both the parents and 4-H leaders for their cooperation and tasty food whiph they prepared for the 4-H‘ers. ~

Sperryville H.D. group met with Mrs. Joe Durden, Tuesday. The members collected pennies for Friendship. A free will offering by the H.D. members all over the county to be used to promote better friendly relationship in other countries. Three toembers plan to attend the district meeting. A demonstration on pruning sweet shrub, rose and botwood was given and members exchanged various plants.

Woodvilie JLDj met with Mrs. CL B. Johnson, Friday. Six members hope to be. able to attend the district meeting at Nokesville. A nice contribution was taken for Pennies for Friendship and members each promised to bake for the food sale, March 22 in Culpeper. Pruning demonstration included the pruning of boxwood and spirea.

Woodville 4-H Club met Friday morning. Betty Clark led club in devotionals. During business, Gladys Bodson reported her committee had made an exhibit in store window at Dulaney’s for National 4-H Club week. Members of Woodville club made table decorations for the dinner to be served by the 4-H Council. The girls showed their completed aprons and began the construction
