BIRTHDAY PARTY
Mrs. Johnnie McGehee enter* tained on Sunday afternoon from 3 to 5 in honor of the sixth birth* day anniversary of her daughter, Judy. Among those present were Charles Smith, Edward Edmonds, Frances Wood, Amenta Wood, Ruth Wood, Charlotte Moore, Johnny Moore, Dorothy A. Moore, Walter Krauft, Virginia Yates Bradford, Linds Cook, Richard Corbin, and Mary Flythe.
Frances Wood and Charles Smith won the prizes for pinning on the donkey’s tail. After the games, refreshments were served by the hostess.
MISSIONARY SOCIETY MET
Mrs. John S. Brown ng was hostess Friday to the Julia* Hagood Graham Missionary Society when 11 emembers were present. Mrs. Browning led the discussion of the topic “Cuba for Christ.” A special prayer program for home missions was led by Mrs. W. A. Moore. After the meeting refreshments were served by the hostess.

The Misses Hitt were hostess to the Womans Society of Christian Service of the Methodist church at their home on Wednesday hight at 7:30 with twelve members present. The president, Mrs. Nina Brown, presided and led the devotional after which Miss Della Hill, program leader, led a very interesting discussion on, “Workers Together with God.” Following the business session, a
