A newspaper editor in Mississippi has rebelled at beng a taxcollector for Uncle Sam. Most of us think she won’t get by with it, of course, and the Treasury Boys will get her sooner or later, but you can’t help admire her for sticking to her guns.
“I have closed by bank account and declared through my newspaper that my husband is in no way responsible for either the Summit Sun or Mary D. Cain, his wife,” the editor wrote in an open letter to the Secretary of the Treasury.
