The Ides of March has come and gone. Even with a respite of a day of two to get those income tax blanks filed and mailed in to the Collector of Infernal Revenue, the situation is no more pleasant. A case of postponing didn't deaden the pain.
One person was heard to comment : “If you pay your income tax then you have to borrow money to pay your bills, of if you pay your bills, you have to borrow money to pay your income tax. You can t win."

I see by the papers Mr. Truman still doesn’t know if he will run or not.
The lady mayor of the county seat of Rappahannock county made a similar statement some time ago, according to a Richmond newspaper, but circumstances are a little different in Washington, Old Dominion. After all, the lady could make her announcement at a pretty late date for this June’s electon, since a six-hour tour could just about give her time to visit each one of the votors.
