Eastham - King
Colonel and Mrs. Charles Willoughby King of 'Ben Venue, Washington, have announced the marriage of their daughter, Louise Fletcher, to Thomas Lindsay Eastham, son of Mrs. Edwin M. Eastham of Flint Hill, od November 29 in Warrenton. Dr. W. G. Pendleton officiated.
The bride is the granddaughter of the late Edward McCormick Green.
The couple will reside in Bappahannock county.

Please publish this letter in the hopes that it will correct some of the thoughtless behavior of youngsters in this community. There have been complaints of exploding fireworks being thrown onto porches of private residences and of fireworks being set off on the street amid a crowd of people.
According to the Town Ordinance governing fireworks, only on holidays such as Christmas Day, Christmas Eve, New Years Day, New, Years Eve, George Washington’s birthday, and Independence Day can they be set off on the streets of the Town of Washington. Since private property should never be used without the consent of the owner, the only suitable and logical place for setting off fireworks would then be your own property except on the / afore mentioned holidays.
Please stop to consider before using fireworks that even though they do offer a source of real enjoyment, they also can create a fire hazard and an injury hazard to people and animals.
Consideration of others is the essence of the true Christmas spirit that abounds everywhere at t^tis season of the year. So let’s make this a Merry Christmas for everyone.
