Against Brucellosis

J. Rodes Brown, Sr., chairman of the Rappahannock Livestock Committees, announced they are well pleased with the manner n which local farmirseeopfuaited with their goal of a county wide vaccination program of heifer calves at a protection igai'nsit Brucellosis, commonly known as Bangs Disease.

Eleven hundred and one replacement heifers belonging to one hundred and fifty-six different farmers were vaccinated which should give life time protection from this dreaded disease. Mr. Brown stated further he felt vaccnation added at least $5 per head value to the hefers and that through such a county—wide program organized by his committeemen and the county agent approximately $550
