We assume that cur farms and factories will produce endless streams of foods and manufactured goods. We assume that our thousands upon thousands of retail stores, large and small, chain and independent, located in the great cities and the little villages, will stock the goods we want and offer them for sa’e at prices we can afford to pay.
What we often forget is the system, the way of living and doing things, that has made this possible
