Christmas Card Postage
Words of caution are issued by the postmasters stating that Christmas greeting cards, unsealed and with a 2-cent stamp, cannot be forwarded if the address is incorrect. If the unsealed greeting card bears a return address, the postmaster can notify the sender and, with sufficient postage added, send the card on to the one to whom it is addressed.
All these postal regulations—with their if’s and whereas's—are confusing, and it seems pretty sound advice to send the cards just like regular letters with 3-cent stamps and return addresses.
Postmasters are urging that Christmas mailing be done early. The lastminute rush may prevent your greeting card arriving in time for the holiday season.
