Fog Spoils Parade
Many children—and adults as well—were disappointed Tuesday night when the dense fog spoiled the parade of fancy balloon floats which the merchants of Culpeper had secured to help Santa inaugurate the Christmas shopping season in the town.
Reports say that the fog was so thick you couldn’t see the tops of the balloon figures unless a spot-light was played on them. Those who could see stated that the parade was most attractive and it was a shame everyone could not see.
Front Royal opened its Christmas season last night, with festivities in the town. It is to be hoped they had better luck with the weather-man.
