[Attention, Dog Owners
The License Tax on DOGS is due January 1st of each year and must be paid not l^ter than January 31st. Paragraph (b) of Section 62 of “The Game; tftTSnd Fish and Dog Code of Virginia” provides as follows:
“If a dog shall become four months of age or come into the possession of any person between January first and November first of any year, the license tax for the current calendar year shall be paid forthwith.”
Secure tags for your dogs within the time limit provided by law and avoid the penalty prescribed for nonpayment for such license tax. If in doubt to any question regarding dog licenses, consult your County Game Warden, C. Ennis Brown, Sperryville, Va., of the County Treasurer. *
Make all remittances for dog tags payable to R. L. Brown, County Treasurer, and mail to him at Washington, Virginia.
Soil Saver Notes
The annual conference of the Virginia Association of Soil Conservation District Supervisors will be held at the Cavalier Hotel, Virginia Beach, on January 27 and 28. The group consists of all the supervisors of the 25 districts over the state.
Those other than T. G. Ragsdale and Giles Miller who will be attending the conference from this area will include District Supervisors James E. Yates, Rappahannock; William M. Yager, Orange; L. W. Kipps, Madison; and Bogardus Werth, Qreene. L. B. Henretty, local Soil Conservationist from the Culpeper Soil Conservation Distrist, will also attend.
