was a guest over the week end ot Mrs. William Meade Fletcher and Mr. and' Mrs. J. W. Fletcher of “Thornton Hill.” Misses Rose Mary and Romona Wire of Washington, D. C. were also week end guests in the Fletcher home.

Miss Louise Strother Miller, who spent her holiday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Miller of “Millermead,” and brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. John Wood of Ohio, arrived from Ohio on Friday to spend the week end with her parents. Miss Mrller, who has a position in Charlottesville, returned for work Sunday afternoon. She was acompanied by Miss Mary Massie Lea to Charlottesville, who returned by train to Hollins College, where she is a student.
Mr. and Mrs. T. C. Lea and son Carlyle, were dinner guests on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. King in Winchester.
Miss Mary Norman Davis left Tuesday for Warren ton where she spent a few days with her grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. G. H. Davis. From there she went to visit her cousin, Miss Betsy Davis of Charles Town, West Virginia. Mr. and Mrs. Davis and daughter, Betsy brought her home Sunday afternoon.
Mr. and Mrs. Palmer Judd, Mrsi Raymond Clem of Luray were dinner guests on Sunday of Miss Lottie Burton.
Mr. and Mrs. Reid Biedler of Washington, D. C. were the guests of Mrs. Biedler’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Racer for a few days during the holiday. On Saturday evening Mr. and Mrs. Biedler were dinner guests of Mr. Biedler’s cousins, Dr. and Mrs. Foley of Front Royal. New Years Day Mr. and Mrs. Biedler and Mrs. Racer were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Luther Cappage of Marshall.
John R. DeBergh left for Charleston, South Carolina on Friday accompanied by Lieut. Comdr. James VanL. DeBergh and family, who have been spending the holiday with relatives in Washington and Front Royal.'
