Helen Bruce, during the holidays were Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Partlow, Mr. and Mrs. Russell Partlow, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Partlow, Mr. and Mrs. Reid Partlow and Jack Partlow. Mr. Partlow Sr. was taken ill and remained for a week’s stay at “Barlow.” Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Smhh of Gainesville were also guests of Mrs. Helen Bruce during the holiday.
Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Blown, Miss j£an Brown and Pvt. Charles R. Brown were dinner guests on Christmas Day of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice Shirey in Front Royal.
Miss Louise Cloud, who returned with her brother, Dearl Cloud, to Falls Church on New Year’s Day to spend the week end with Mrs. Annie Fincham, returned to her home Saturday-afternoon. Gene R. Jenkins of Frederick, Maryland, spent a few days with his relatives last week in the county. Mrs. James M. Yates, who spent last week in Arlington with Mr. and Mrs. J H. Aylor and family, returned on Friday to her home at the Lee Highway hotel.
Mrs. Holmes Hall, who spent several days last week in Richmond with her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Reynolds, returned- on Saturday, accompanied by Mrs. Eda M. WilHs, who was a guest for the week end of Mrs. William Meade Fletcher at “Thornton Hill.” a Luncheon guests on Friday of Mrs. Fred W. Schaefer were Mrs. Jack Bruce and two children, Manly and' Dianne, Mrs. Maurice Manuel, Wallace and Harriett Manuel and Miss Maureen Curry. Mrs. Maurice Manuel and her two children, Wallace and Harriett, spent several days last week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Chris Schaefer.
