BRIDGE PARTY " Mr. and Mrs. Brown Miller Entertained at bridge on Wednesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Quaintance in the F. T. Valley. Those playing included Mr. and Mrs. John Davis, Mr. and Mrs. I. R. Kilby, Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Wood, Mr. and Mrs. Charles H. Estes, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Johnson Jr., Dr. and Mrs. J. P. Snead, Mr. and Mrs. James M. Thornton, Mr. and Mrs. P. Lee Thornton, Mr. and Mrs. R. G. Quaintance, Mr. and Mrs. J. Rodes Brown Jr., and Mrs. Lyle Miller. High score prize for the ladies and men was awarded to Mrs. J. P. Snead and John Davis. Mrs. C. E. Johnson won the traveling prize and low score prizes were won by Mrs. James Thornton and R. E. Wood.

Here is a beautiful picture of the thoughtfulness of Jacob concerning the care of his children and cattle. He would not permit them to be pushed beyond their reasonable endurance. We often forget the young and tender in our busy rush to gain time, or |o keep ahead of the time in this day and age. »
