S/A Edward A. Butler, son of Mr. and Mrs. Amos Butler, who was stationed on Treasure Island, left on March 31 for Long Beach, California, where he was assigned to USS Hubbard, DD-748.

Rev. Ernest Clarke of Abbington preached in Mt. Lebanon and Woodville Baptist churches Sunday and was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Johnson over the week end.

Mrs. R. H. Carder, Sr., returned home on Thursday after a visit with Misses LiJlie and Nellie Johnson.

Mrs. Lily Barter returned home on Saturday after a visit with friends and relatives in Richmond and Williamsburg.

Mr. and Mrs. William Johnson of Culpeper were dinner guests Sunday of Mr. Johnson's sisters, Misses Nellie and Lillie Johnson.
