I saw by a city paper the other day that a Congressman complains the farm family is being driven to extinction. He meant, not that the farm could cease, but that a certain segment of American society which an the past has produced the “local boy made good” was now in danger of being wiped out of existence. (And the first fellow who comments: “Brother when you live on a farm, ‘exist’ is what you do!” will have to stand in the corner for his ill-timed jest.)
