4-ffers Honored At

V.P.L Short Course

At conclusion of the 1953 State 4-H Short Course, Newbill Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Miller of Washington, was elected 1st Vice President for the 1954 Short Course. In winning the election Newbill defeated Jerry Wilson of Fauquier and J. E. Pigg of Henry Counties. In addition Newbill was called upon to introduce Dean L. B. Dietrick who gave the address of welcome to 4-H’ers and Leaders attending the ‘53 Short Course. Dean Dietrick was representing Dr. Newman, Pres. V.P.I., who could not be present for the occasion. Each year one Virginia boy and girl are selected to represent her fifty odd thousand 4-H club members at the North Carolina Short Course. We are proud, but not surprised, to learn that Newbill was again honored. Newbill will head for
