Mrs. Silas Bruce, who has been confined to her room by rheumatism, is improving and able to get about by the use of crutches. She had as her guests on Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. B.R. Bruce, Robert Bruce, Mr. and Mrs. H. S. Griffith and family of Front Royal. On Monday the friffith family and Miss Betty Taylor Bruce went to Ocean City Beach, Md. for a week's vacation.
Misses Della, Beulah, and Ebba Hitt and Mrs .George W. Brown spent last Friday in Alexandria.
Robert Perry of Faber is visiting his son, Sidney Perry at Piedmont Farm for a few days.
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Atkins and. family and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Jenkins spent Sunday afternoon at Hawksbill Park.
Supper guests of Mr, and Mrs. Frank Jenkins on Wednesday evening were Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Perry, Lawrence Perry and Robert Perry and Mr. and Mrs. Roy Atkins and family.
Miss Carolyn Brown is visiting her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. John Paferl in Baltimore this week.
Mrs. Lelia Mae Goodman, who was called here by the death of her brother-in-law, F. D. Coffey Sr., left Saturday for her home in Richmond, accompanied by her father, W. N. Rector, who will remain with her for a visit.
Forest Coffey, who has been with his sister-in-law and family, left on Tuesday for his home in Tyro. Mrs. H. L. Smith was an overnight guest on Saturday of Mrs. F. D. Coffey. Mrs. F. D. Coffey and son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Coffey Jr., were dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Nethers at Flint Hill on Sunday. Miss Elizabeth Smith, who has been in Washington, D. C. for a visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Smith, has returned to the home of her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Brown, who has as their guests this week,' Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lucian Brown and their son, Donnie of Jonesville, N. C/ Mr. and Mrs. Bill Freeman of Elkins, N. C. are visiting relatives in Rappahannock and Page Counties. Mrs. Freeman’s mother, Mrs. Kate Judd, who accompanied them, is visiting her three sisters, Mrs. James Ramey, Mrs. Walter Atkins, and Mrs. Ernest Dodson and other relatives.
