Lelia Gentry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Gentry of Flint Hill, and Kelly Updike, son of Mr. and Mrs. John B. Updike of Washington, were elected to membership of the Virginia All Star Chapter which is one of the highest honors that can be bestowed a 4-H member.
Lelia has done outstanding project work for several years. She received state-wide recognition for the fine job she did in writing and assembling the history, (past, present, & future) of 4-H in her county published early this spring as a special edition of the : Rappahannock News.
Kelly Updike has been outstanding in sheep, corn, and pasture project work as well as a member on our livestock judging team. Although Rappahannock's judging team could not compete in the state contest as a unit because of sickness, Kelly placed 7th high individual in the state.
