Mrs. John Woodard entertained the Castleton H.D. club Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Hugh Ramsey, representative of Rural Electric Co-operative, gave a talk on value to home of running water and showed a movie ‘‘Running Water on the Farm.” The demonstration for the month was on textile painting and the ladies decorated table cloths, towels, and pillow cases.
The first meeting of Castleton bread group was held at the home of Miss Elsie Courtney on Monday, June 22. The 4-H’ers made sweet milk biscuits.
The Woodville bread project girls met for their first meeting Wednesday at the home of Mrs. C. B. Johnson. These girls made hot rolls.
The Washington bread group met Friday at the home of Mrs. W. L. Wake. The group made excellent buttermilk biscuits.
A group of Amissville ladies completely renovated a n overstaffed chair Thursday at the home of Mrs. Floyd Hitt. The renovation included tieing springs, padding, and reupholstering the chair. «.
