The criteria used inevatuatmg chapters were based on all the activities ♦ on the local, federation and state levels. The activities were as follows: public speaking, talent, quartette, quiz, soil and water management awards, farm and home improvement awards, farm electricification awards, dairy fanning awards, farm mechanics awards, modem farmers, superior farmers, H. O. Sargent winners, judging teams, offices held, newspaper articles published, radio programs given, state dues, NFA camp dues, delegates to state convdttion, attetndance at convention sessions, and NFA camp attendance. Of this number we have or will participate in all but five.
After moving up from 21st place last year to 2nd place this year, our ultimate aim is to reach the top in 1954. However, we realize that our growth is largely due to the cooperation rendered by the school adminisparents and patrons of boys enrolled trators, and more especially the in vocational agriculture. Our deepest gratifications are extended to you.

With The 2nd Infantry Division In Korea—Pfc. George R. Harrison, son of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Harrison, 'Woodville, is returning to the United States after serving right months in Kor**a with the 2nd Infantry Division.
A cook and truck driver in Service Battery of the 15th Field Artillery Battalion, Harrison has been awarded the Korean Service Ribbon with two campaign stars and the U N Service Ribbon, iBefore entering the Army in July 11991, he was employed by L. C. .'Smith Co. in Arlington.
The 2nd Division captured “Heartbreak Ridge" in October 1951 ;and took “Old Baldy last July.
There will he a weiner roast on the lawn of Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Carter July 11 at 8 o’clock sponsored by the ^Ushers’ Board.
The Rev. Luther H. Mills, the Jr. •d*oir and congregation of the Oak■fend Baptist church will worship with the First Baptist church, Washington, on Sunday, July 5. The Rev. Mills will be the guest speaker at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Our friends are invited to attend these services. Lunch will be served to our visitors.
