J. Maurice O'Bannon
Graveside services were conducted for John Maurice O’Bannon, on Wednesday evening, March 10 in the Woodville Cemetery with Rev. George W. Bowman officiating. Mr. O’Bannon died Monday night at the age of 96 in the University of Virginia Hospital where he had been a patient for a few days.
Mr. O’Bannon was the son of Martha Eliza Lucas O’Bannon and Walter O’Bannon, both deceased. Mr. O’Bannon made his home in Woodville. He never married.
Mr. O’Bannon is survived by his ibrothers and sister, J. Hill O'Bannon of Woodville and William Oscar O’Bannon of Hamilton, Texas; and Mrs. Lily Bariber of Woodville. The active pallbearers included C.J. Miller, Jr., R. M. Menefee, E. M. Jones, W. F. Moffett Jr., William J. Smith and Harry Stephenson.
